Happy Monday, guys!
Seems like last monday was longer than 7 days ago. This probably has to do with the long to-do list I had to tackle during the week. As a getaway, I met up with a friend in my industry to discuss certain hot topics in our industry, and as with all girl chats, the conversation also touched on other fun trivial matters.
For our meet-up, I chose to go in neutral colours. Did you know leopard print is a neutral ‘colour’? Okay, that is by no means a fact but I think it should be.:) Now this applies to leopard print accessories only (!), so a clutch, scarf, belt or pair of shoes. I know of only a handful of people that can successfully pull off a leopard print pants or shirt.
I hardly ever get a chance to wear this my Target wool hat, so since the brown ties in nicely with the leopard print, I gladly threw it on. Not only does the hat serve the ever-welcome purpose of keeping me a tad warmer, I believe it adds an extra dimension to the outfit as well. While I was a student at McMaster University in Hamilton, I recall wearing toques and knit hats were a commonality amongst female students. Since moving to Calgary, I wouldn’t say I see lots of ladies in hats, toques and/or wool hats – not quite sure if it is a city (i.e. Hamilton/Calgary) thing or a student/worker thing.
On a side note, isn’t it just that unfortunate Target et Canada did not work out? I definitely miss having them around – I was one of those who visited my nearby Target store on its opening day. I didn’t join the line-ups, but I HAD to drop by the store on that very first day.
